Description:

Sports Endeavors, Inc. (SEI) is seeking an energized and motivated Training Manager who will oversee the on-the-job training for all areas within our Professional Services Group.

Duties:

Our PSG area is primarily focused on producing quality customized products for our numerous consumer groups. Our current areas of specialty are Embroidery, Screen Printing, Heat Press and Direct-to-Garment (DTG) Operations. The Training Manager will create and lead training initiatives for each of these areas with specific responsibilities that will include, but not be limited to the following:

    ■Define the operational skill requirements in each of the areas
    ■Develop and implement operational/technical training and development needs and prepare short and long term training objectives for new and existing team members
    ■Develop standardized training curriculums and tracking tools to monitor progress of team members in each area
    ■Develop/lead train-the-trainer sessions for area trainers during peak seasons
    ■Analyze effectiveness of training tools/modules
    ■Assist with new team member on-boarding
    ■Work closely with management staff to identify team members with skills needed for different areas (trainers, leads, supervisors, etc.)
    ■Assist with other regulatory training (OSHA, EEO) as needed
Qualifications:
    ■ Solid training/coaching and supervisory experience
    ■ Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively
    ■ Self-confidence
    ■ Initiative and strong follow-up skills
    ■ Receptive to and adapts well to change
    ■ Strong oral & written communication skills
    ■ Analytical thinking
    ■ Ability to reason
    ■ Logical thought process
    EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
    ■ Proven training experience in a volume oriented environment; experience with Screening, Heat Press, Embroidery and/or DTG an asset
    ■ Proven effective interpersonal skills
    ■ Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook proficiency
    ■ College degree preferred

NOTE REGARDING SHIFT REQUIREMENT The Training Manager will be required to support training on all three shifts. Regular core hours for this position will be from Noon to 9pm, Monday through Friday (with additional days/hours involved during our peak seasons). The Training Manager will also have some flexibility to adjust his/her work hours certain days or weeks to support training outside of the core hours.
