MERCHANDISER AND INVENTORY PLANNER

The equipment and accessory merchant and inventory planner is responsible for overseeing the categories of non-licensed retail apparel, training products, gifts and accessories.
•Work with Director of Merchandising to develop assortment plans and merchandising strategies that support company goals.
•Manage inventory turn by placing weekly fill-in orders and cancelling unnecessary future orders.
•Prepare business analysis of past seasons to influence future assortments.
•Meet and beat margin, sales, fill-rate and inventory turn goals.
•Manage brands to ensure corporate goals are met.
•Identify product to be featured in online marketing and sale events.
•Identify and act upon emerging or declining trends in the market.
•Preparing futures and “at once” orders that fall within the OTB.
•Work with Director of Merchandising to development OTB for each of the major categories.
•Work with sourcing team and Director of Merchandising to develop private label product.
•Collaborate with the Creative Dept, Online Properties and other groups to present the product in a compelling way including layout recommendations and internal system updating.
•Manage the assortment of field items for the Team Eurosport catalog.
•Conduct vendor meetings, negotiate exclusive product, return of slow selling goods and explore off price opportunities.
•Strong understanding of retail math including analyzing margins, mark ups, turn and profit-item.
•Strong strategic thinking skills.
•Strong communication and presentation skills.
•3 years experience in merchandising and/or inventory planning /required.
